The SBA has announced further details regarding the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) we alerted you to a few weeks ago. The announcement includes application requirements, eligibility, and a program guide – available at www.sba.gov/restaurants (English) and www.sba.gov/restaurantes (Spanish).
The official launch date has yet to be announced. That’s because, prior to the official launch, the SBA is conducting a pilot period to address technical issues with the RRF application portal and also conduct extensive outreach and training. Participants in the pilot program will be randomly selected from existing PPP borrowers in priority groups for RRF and will not receive funds until the application portal is open to the public.
Following the few weeks of the pilot program, the application portal will be opened to the public. The SBA will prioritize reviewing applications from small businesses owned by women, veterans, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals for the first 21 days. Then, the application period will open to all eligible applicants.
Relief is coming. As the SBA builds and prepares to roll out the program, we’ll continue to update you. Feel free to also check out this website that contains up-to-date information for eligible restaurants, bars, tasting rooms, tap rooms, food trucks, and other businesses who serve food and drink.
