BGW CPA, PLLC wishes to congratulate teammate Alleson Morris for graduating this past week from the Vision Henderson County leadership class sponsored by Blue Ridge Community College and Chamber of Commerce of Henderson County. Vision Henderson County is a prestigious community service and learning program comprised of a select group of local leaders committed to community leadership through an in-depth view of the cultural, economic, historic, social, educational, environmental and government assets in Henderson County. The program connects participants with prominent civic, business and government leaders to positively impact the community and its quality of life.
This year’s Vision Service Project focused on early childhood education. Alleson and her classmates assisted Smart Start Book Sale for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. With help from the Vision Class and Rotary, Smart Start was able to add 156 children to the project, which now serves more than 2000 children with one age-appropriate book every month from birth to five years. The 2019 Vision class also purchased 500 baby “onesies” for children born in Henderson County the next year. “Read to me” is imprinted on each onesie.
Alleson was among 34 distinguished graduates representing a wide variety of businesses and organizations. For a full list of graduates, click here.
